Trousseau packing and its importance
Indian wedding trousseau displays a traditional and quixotic gesture that adds an appeal as a new journey of life begins. There are many trousseau packing methods and designs that can be used to add an exotic touch to all wedding packaging. Whether you are packing your trousseau or for your best friend, here is some insight.
A bridal trousseau ideally includes jewellery, clothing, accessories, bed linens, lingerie, makeup and even bath towels. If you have a specific theme or color scheme for the wedding then it can be incorporated in the packing style. Trousseau decoration is not an old concept, but with time, it has become more urbane. The term 'trousseau' is a French word which simply means 'bundle' and can definitely be the highlight of any occasion if done in a right way. Wedding trousseau undeniably goes unnoticed if it is not presented or packed in a pleasing style.
Bridal trousseau obviously varies from person to person. Your relatives and friends often want to see the trousseau and it is many a time put on show, hence attractive trousseau packaging is a great idea and enhances the look of the trousseau. Not only is it exciting to look at but gives you that sense of it being a super special gift to yourself.
"According to the theme and colour scheme decided, I pack wedding garments, both the bride's and the groom's, in an attractive way. We also pack jewellery, make up items, make fruit baskets and package other gifts that are given at the wedding," says Shazia Zameer, owner of 'Purple Tulips', Bangalore. "The whole idea is to see that even if the things gifted are not very classy or expensive, a little bit of packaging can make the gifts look eye-catching," Shazia explains.
Gifts and trousseau packing have always been a fundamental part of the wedding culture. "The gifts to be given to the bride or groom can be presented in a striking manner. Most of them are too busy with other wedding preparations that they do not have the time to do this. Packing the brides trousseau itself is a huge chore," says Noor Shaista, who owns Noor Shaista packing services, Bangalore. "A bride may not have the most expensive saree or lehenga but if it is presented and packed in an attractive manner, it surely makes a difference," she adds.

Instead of packing your trousseau in a bag or suitcase, you can go for magnificently carved wooden chest or an exquisite mosaic box.
If you are having a themed wedding and a colour palette that runs through all your events, you could incorporate the same in your trousseau packing.
Try and include a satchel of a scent you like in your packages to keep everything fresh.
