How to choose your Bridal Hairstyle
All brides pay excessive attention to their makeup and wedding dress, however little importance is given to the hair & its styling. The Bridal Hairdo is as equally important element that enhances the overall look of the Bride. We spoke to Toronto based Bridal Makeup artist, Nidhi Sharma who gave us tips on the kind of hairstyles that would suit different Indian brides depending on their face cut, features, height etc. Here is what she had to say...
Brides should choose their hairstyles diligently for their Wedding Day. Your Bridal Hair Style should complement your facial features, hair color, dress and makeup.
For example if you have a thin long face you should avoid having a hairstyle that would make that length more obvious, instead choose something that increases the fullness around the face, like Curls framing the face.
For brides who have a round face should have a style that is slimming for the face and adds some height.
Brides with heavy round face look best with an updo that is pulled away from the face so that it does not add volume to the face, but brings out their facial features.
Brides with prominent cheek bones look lovely with side up-dos,buns and curls cascading down the shoulders.
A good makeup artist and Hair designer can coordinate makeup and hair to suit each and every bride so that she looks the star of the evening on her special day.
This wedding season waves and free form curls are ruling the wedding scene. Curls can be styled to suit literally every bride. Here are a few sample pictures of popular hair designs for different face shapes as well as current trend in hair design.
