Designers Gaurang Shah, Mira Sagar and Designer Duo Rumi & Bappaditya to showcase “Gulaal”
Attention all brides to be! If you are lovers of traditional Indian weaves in beautiful ethnic ensembles, then you are in for a treat. Award winning self taught designer Gaurang Shah from Hyderabad is bringing together, Mira Sagar from Mumbai and Bai Lou Studio of Kolkata to showcase a limited edition of exquisite Indian Weaves luxury collections in New Delhi themed as ‘GULAAL’.
These Emerging and independent textile designers from the South, West and East are known for using organic textiles, natural fibers, vintage detailing, and sleek tailoring.
GULAAL is a collaborative effort by these designers to highlight a complete twist in Indian Weaves to buyers and editors in New Delhi.
"I'm showcasing a vibrant collection of my jamdani weaves that took months for me and my weavers to create," Gaurang says. "With GULAAL I hope we will be able to get connected here, and that's one of the things I love about New Delhi which loves newness in fashion." Gaurang will showcase his traditional Indian weaves of jamdani through his Uppadas, Kotas, Organzas and the like along with his unique collection of kanjeevaram sarees.
Below are the designs from the collection on display on the 14th & 15th of March at Agha Khan Hall, Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi.
