Beautiful Arabic Mehendi Designs for the Bride
Bridal Mehendi is an essential part of a bride’s beauty on her wedding day. Mehendi application on the bride prior to her wedding day has been practiced for many years now, and as years go by different trends in bridal henna have evolved.
A decade ago majority of the brides preferred a very traditional Indian design that consists of many fine lines and intricate work. The traditional Indian design also involved many wedding theme designs such as figures of Ganesh, tabla, Om symbols, bride, groom, dancing figures etc..
However, the latest trend in bridal henna has definitely changed since the past. The use of Arabian design is most popular and consists of many different flowers, paisleys, and curvy lines. Many brides prefer the Arabian designs as it is overall bigger and can be clearly distinguished. Moreover, the shading technique inside the flowers has also attracted many brides.
Another new trend that has gained popularity is the use of glitter and gems to go along with the Arabian design. I usually tend to use the glitter colour to match the bride’s outfit of the day. It is said that as long as the henna stain appears on the bride's hands, she does not have to do any housework. Also, the darker the henna stain, the better the marriage and the better the mother-in-law will be!
So you can imagine why the bride would want the stain to come our dark and last as long as possible. Thus, in order for the stain to become darker, one way is to use designs that consist of thick lines and patterns which Arabian designs contains. Therefore, many brides now prefer Arabic designs to traditional Indian designs and patterns.
