From the Photographers

Initially, we were preparing ourselves to shoot a traditional & typical South Indian wedding. The moment groom's father briefed us about the events & rituals lined up for three full days, we knew that the theme for this wedding was "fun"! It brought together the best of both north & south Indian wedding flavors, garnished with fun-n-masti.

The wedding was planned in the outskirts of the city, away from its hush-bush, in a luxurious resort. People had flown in from all over the world. There was Mehendi, Sangeet, Reception, Baarat, Doli, Bon-fire, Sky-lanterns, not to leave out Kanyadaan and Mahuratham! Wow! the culmination of these rituals was to an extent that no one wanted to sleep and stop having fun.

First day started with the blast of Sangeet, with Archana (the bride), Adhvith (the groom), their respective parents, friends and relatives taking to the dance floor and performing to catchy numbers. Elders came as a surprise when they stole the floor and kept everyone enthralled. Day two was day of Baarat; the grand entry of the bride-groom with a fleet of fun lovers thumping to the tunes of the mobile DJ. The bride's side gave an equally warm welcome showering a blast of rose petals on the bride-groom.

The evening ended with antakshari around bon-fire followed by lighting of sky-lanterns. On the day of Wedding, after the initial rituals in the morning, the bride made a majestic entry in a beautiful flower clad doli decked up with golden duppattas and Kerala drummers escorting her to the mandap where she was destined to tie the knot. She appeared no less than a bride of a Royal family from the ancient India. Archana-Adhvith's wedding was the one, which we will continue to remember and cherish the moments we captured, for a long time to come!
