Simple Tips to plan your Wedding by Clare Ebbs
First Things First
Getting married is a hugely exciting time, full of love, laughter and probably a few tears – and it all starts here with those all important decisions that will make your wedding day truly unique.
The Key Questions
What is your dream? Sit down with your fiancé and each make a list of everything that’s important to you both. Split the list into essentials (venue, dress, flowers and so on) and optionals (chocolate fountain, limo, string quartet) to give you both a clear picture of your dream day. Compare your lists and agree to compromise where necessary.
What is your overall style? Will you be having a religious or a civil ceremony? How many guests do you want to invite? Will it be a formal or a casual reception?
What size is your Wedding Budget? How are you going to pay for the wedding? Will parents be contributing? How much can you save up during your engagement? Will you need to think about taking out a loan to pay for some of the expenses?
Do you have a Date in mind? Do you want a short or a long engagement? Are there any major family occasions coming up that will cause scheduling problems? Is the time of the year important?
The answers to these questions will help you put together a clearer vision of what will be included in your perfect day and, of course, whether you can afford to pay for your dream wedding.
